ARTIST BIO

Peter Hendricks is a visual artist who started his artistic journey in 2018. He was born in Cape Town, South Africa in 1971.

He holds no formal education in art and artmaking and attributes his growth and development to the guidance and support he received from fellow artists, collaborators and art enthusiasts.  His education includes attending an eye-opening workshop entitled “The Missing Middle Artists” (2023).

He considers himself privileged to have exhibited with the Open Orange Art Group in 6 Spin Street, Cape Town, an assemblage of twenty five prolific and experienced artists, in March 2021. In and during April 2023 he participated in a group exhibition, entitled “Justified”, together with 12 emerging and established artists, at the Art B Gallery (Bellville). He was thereafter invited to participate in a Fundraiser exhibition, entitled “Tiny Treasures X”, together with about 100 established artists which was held at the Art B Gallery (Bellville) during June  2023.
